What Practice Designs collects about you, why, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and how to get a copy or delete it.

Practice Designs provides online cricket coaching videos to coaches.

We are the "data controller" for the information described here, which means we decide what is collected and why, and we are responsible for looking after it.
What we collect, and why
When you create an account
Your email address and, if you give one, your name. We need these to give you a login, to let you back in when you forget your password, and to send you things about your membership.
We also ask which age groups you coach, which country and town you are based in, and whether you belong to a club (and which one). We use this to understand who the membership is for, so we can plan drills for the age groups members actually coach and see where they are. You need to answer to use the membership. We do not share these answers with anyone.
We use these answers on the basis of our legitimate interests in running and improving the membership and in marketing it: planning drills, and deciding which of our own news and offers are relevant to you. You can object to us using them for marketing at any time by emailing us, and we will stop. Using your email address to show you adverts on Facebook or Instagram is separate and needs your consent (see "If you choose to hear about offers").
A copy of the answers you give when you sign up is also kept with your login details. It is not changed if you edit your answers later, it is included in your data download, and it is removed when you delete your account.
We keep a record of which version of our Terms of Service you agreed to, and which version of this policy you were shown, with the date.
Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash. Nobody at Practice Designs can read it, including us.
When you pay
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers. We could not see your card number if we wanted to.
What we do keep is the record of the transaction: which product you bought, how much, when, the Stripe reference numbers, and whether a subscription is active. We keep these because HM Revenue & Customs requires businesses to keep transaction records for six years.
We also record that you agreed, at checkout, to get access straight away and to give up the 14-day cancellation right that would otherwise apply to digital content. We keep that record so that if a payment is ever disputed we can show what was agreed and when.
While you use the site
We record which drills you have watched and how far through you got, so the video picks up where you left off, and which drills you have starred, so your favourites list works. That is the whole reason it exists. It is the feature, not surveillance.
Everyone who visits, member or not
We keep basic statistics about which pages are visited, so we know what is useful and what is not.
We do this without cookies, and without tracking visitors who are not signed in.
Instead of an identifier that follows you around, we create a one-way fingerprint from your IP address and browser, mixed with a secret that changes every night and is then destroyed. That gives us a rough count of how many people visited on a given day. If you are not signed in, it makes it impossible, for us or anyone else, to connect your visit today to your visit tomorrow.
If you are signed in, your visits are linked to your account, so we can see which parts of the membership members use. We also see when each member last visited, and may use that to decide which of our own news and offers to send, for example a discount for someone with a free account who has been back recently. You can object to this at any time by emailing us, and we will stop. On the day you join, we also check whether you arrived through one of our tagged links or adverts that day, so we can count which ones bring new members.
Your IP address is never stored. It is used to make that fingerprint and then discarded.
We also keep which country your visit came from, worked out from your IP address before it is thrown away. We never record your town or city.
Where you came from we keep only the website name (for example www.google.com), never the full address, so we never see what you searched for.
These records are kept for 90 days, then reduced to daily totals that contain nothing about individuals.
If you send us a message or ask for the free drill
Whatever you put in the form: your name, email and message. We use it to reply to you, and, if you asked for the free drill, to send you the drill and to tell you when new free drills are available. You can ask us to stop at any time.
If you choose to hear about offers
When you sign up or first fill in your coaching details, and on your account page, there is an optional box: "Send me news and offers from Practice Designs, and let Practice Designs use my email to show me relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can change this any time on your account page." It is unticked unless you tick it. If you tick it we record when, and which wording you saw.
The second half means we may, in future, give Meta (who run Facebook and Instagram) your email address so it can show you our adverts.
We have not started doing this.
If we do, this policy will say so before it starts, and we will only include people who ticked the box.
You can untick it any time on your account page, or by emailing us. Our lawful basis for this is your consent.
Cookies
We use one cookie, and only when you are signed in: the one that keeps you signed in. Without it you would have to enter your password on every page.
Because that cookie is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for, UK law does not require us to ask your permission for it, which is why this site has no cookie pop-up.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first, and properly, with refusing as easy as accepting.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of companies to run the service. Each of them only gets what it needs to do its job, and each is bound by a contract that limits what it may do with it.

Videos play directly from Bunny’s delivery network to your device, which is what keeps the service fast and affordable. It also means Bunny sees your IP address during playback, and we do not.
Some of these companies operate outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards in our contracts with them, which rely on the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not sell your information to anyone, and we never will.

Your rights
You can:
- Get a copy of everything we hold about you. There is a button on your account page that downloads it immediately as a file. You do not need to ask us.
- Correct your details. You can change your name and your coaching details on your account page.
- Delete your account. Also on your account page, and also immediate.
- Object to the visit statistics or to us using your coaching details or visits for marketing, or ask us to restrict what we do with your information. Email practicedesignsuk@gmail.com.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we have got this wrong. See ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
What deleting your account actually does
We would rather be precise than reassuring, so:
Deleted immediately: your login, your name, your watch history, your favourites, any testimonial you gave, any message you sent us, and your entry on the free-drill list. Any active membership is cancelled first, so you cannot be charged again.
Kept: the record that a transaction happened: what was bought, how much, and when. HMRC requires this for six years and we are not permitted to delete it. Your name and email are removed from it, so what remains does not identify you.
Your visit statistics stay in the totals, but the link between them and you is severed, so they can no longer be traced back to you.
Your coaching details and your marketing choice are erased. The record of which Terms you agreed to is kept after you delete your account, without your name or email attached, as evidence of what you agreed to. The record of which privacy policy you were shown is deleted.
We say this plainly because "we delete everything" would not be true, and we would rather tell you what actually happens.
Children
This service is for adult coaches. You must be 18 or over to create an account. Please do not sign up if you are not. No identifiable children appear in the drill videos.
Changes to this policy
If we change it, we will update the date at the top, and if the change matters we will tell members directly, with a notice when they next sign in, rather than quietly editing the page.
